What is the Lost Bow Campaign

The MTB board is very excited to launch the Michigan Traditional Bowhunters Lost Bow Campaign with the blessing of the original LBC angel whose big heart dreamed it up. MTB will happily be accepting donations for this program either by check sent to our P O Box or via our website.

Do you know of a family with a child or young person, 3-18 years old, that would like to adopt a bow? MTB members may nominate young ones for adoption by mail, website or email to LBC Director or Chair. Our LBC Committee Director is new board member David Elliot. Contact him @  Davidgrahamelliot@gmail.com or 269-370-1615.  or Chairman LBC Committee Greg Darling (see contact info below). If you have a bow that needs a good home, either new or used, you may send it to MTB or bring it to any MTB event. We pledge we will do all we can to find it a good home where it will thrive. Send donation bows to: Greg Darling, Chairman LBC Committee 420 W. Carson Street, Carson City MI. 48811, or contact him @ 616-894-2303 or by email: Stykbowhunter61@yahoo.com. Call before shipping, Greg may be able to arrange pick-up/drop-off and save the shipping cost.

The recipient does not need to be a MTB member as MTB will gift each recipient a one year membership for adopting the Lost Bow. PLEASE, be sure to give us lots of information so we can make a good adoption match. We will need complete name(s), address, age, draw length, if child is right or left-handed and as much pertinent info on knowledge and archery background as you can give us. PLEASE, if you nominate a family or child that are newbies to traditional archery, we ask that you accept the responsibility to be mentors for them. PLEASE, understand this program is being developed to help kids outside of the Memberships normal scope of influence. If your child or grandchild, nephew or niece, has a friend who is fascinated by your kid's interest in archery, they may be a perfect candidate. If you know of a family struggling to take care of the archery needs of their family, they may be a perfect candidate. We would like to see these bows go to someone who may not have the opportunity otherwise. So please understand this going forward.

It is my hope that our MTB membership will embrace this program with the large heartedness that I know this community has.     https://mitradbow.com/shop/ols/categories/donate
